A former magistrate, Cynthia has experience on the bench. As an attorney, she specializes in family and business litigation and vigorously advocates for her clients. For her work, Cynthia has been voted a "Top Attorney" by Fort Worth, Texas Magazine. She is a former law clerk for Chief Justice Bonnie Sudderth when she was Judge of the 352nd District Court. Cynthia is licensed in both Texas and Michigan with a deep knowledge of the law.
All parties should be treated equally. Everyone should have their day in court. Cynthia's rulings will be based on law and the evidence presented in open court, not behind closed doors. She will hold her associate judge accountable to both her conservative judicial philosophy and high ethical standards. As Cynthia did as a magistrate and continues to do as an attorney, she will demand integrity in all aspects of this important Court.
A member and Vice President of Fort Worth Republican Women for more than six years, Cynthia helps keep Tarrant County Red. She has been a delegate to the Republican State Convention, block-walked and worked the polls for candidates and is a member of numerous conservative organizations. A mother of three children, Cynthia worked hard to raise her family working full-time while attending law school and then practicing law full time. Her family resides in Mansfield near her parents, Anastasio and Anita Favila of Arlington.
